I was in my last year of law school in Queens, NY when I heard and read about this tragedy. My heart went out to you & your family. I thought that you could have been my little sister. Now 40 years later I think that you could have been my daughter or grand daughter.
I prayed for you then and will again now. Our love for you has not dimnished over time. I know that you live on in eternal happiness. You will not be forgotten.

I read your story in a CA newspaper, and pray for your strength to keep advocating – please, continue to raise awareness! Laws need changed in other states. Peace to you and your family.

Very moving an inspiring story. I was born in 1964 and Bergen County is my home. Joan and I are almost the same age. Out of tragedy often comes hope….this organization is truly a great thing and gives hope to so many.

For some reason I have been thinking a lot about Joan today. God bless her. I did not personally know her but we lived in the same town – I was two years younger than she. We will always remember Joan. I think of her dear soul often. My love to you and your family and to dear Joan’s memory.

Joan’s death has haunted me for years. I was 9 yrs old at the time and I use to ride my bicycle to valley fair cutting through side streets. After that happened, whenever I was near that house, I thought about that. Joan was my age and I am 49 now. Hopefully that guy never gets out!
